NAPLES, FL, November 7, 2025 — PBS Contractors is proud to announce that Founding Partner, Russell Budd, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Murray Hendel Civic Achievement Award, presented by the Collier Citizens Council. The annual award recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the Collier County community through leadership, service, and philanthropy.

The honor is a testament to Budd’s lifelong commitment to building not just commercial and residential projects, but a stronger community. As the founder of PBS Contractors, Southwest Florida’s Concierge Builder®, Budd has spent nearly four decades leading with integrity, craftsmanship, and purpose while devoting himself to civic engagement and charitable initiatives that enrich the lives of others.

A graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction, Budd founded PBS Contractors in 1986 after becoming a State Certified General Contractor. Under his leadership, PBS grew into one of the region’s most respected builders, known for exceptional quality, client care, and community involvement.

Beyond his professional success, Budd has held numerous leadership positions of non-profits and industry organizations in Collier County. His service includes terms as Chairman of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Collier Foundation, Collier County Planning Commission, and David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health. He currently serves on the boards of Avow Hospice, Moorings Park, and the Collier 100 Club, where he is also Immediate Past President.

Among his community efforts is Russell’s Barbecue, a biannual event hosted by PBS Contractors that raises funds for local charities. He is also a chair for Farm City BBQ of Collier County, a beloved tradition that brings together the agricultural and business communities of Southwest Florida and raises funds for local youth organizations.

“Russell’s leadership and generosity have touched countless lives across Collier County,” said Tim Dupre, President and CEO of PBS Contractors. “He embodies PBS’ mission of building better lives, and we could not be more proud to see him receive this well-deserved recognition.”

Budd’s numerous accolades reflect his deep impact, including recognition among the Naples 100 Most Influential Business Leaders (2023 to 2025), Builder of the Year by AIA Florida Southwest, and recipient of the Business Ethics Award from the Uncommon Friends Foundation.

Reflecting on the award, Budd shared, “I’ve always believed that true success is measured by the difference you make in people’s lives. I’m honored to receive this recognition and grateful to live and work in a community that values service, connection, and purpose.”

Now serving in a mentorship and advisory role within PBS Contractors, Budd continues to inspire the next generation of leaders and remains deeply committed to advancing initiatives that strengthen Collier County.
