The Bonita Springs Poker Room unveiled its new 32,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art entertainment facility on Sept. 29. The venue features a 37-table live poker room, a Sports and Wagering center with horse and jai-alai wagering and a Brass Tap restaurant, which features an acclaimed craft beer assortment alongside festive bar fare. The construction of the entertainment venue, which began in August 2019, employed more than 300 local workers. The new facility will create more than 150 full and part-time positions in the region. The facility is owned and managed by the Havenick family, who has had roots in the area for more than four decades with the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track.

“It was a high priority for our management team to keep this new construction project as local as possible and to activate the nearby economy during this pandemic,” said Izzy Havenick, vice president of Southwest Florida Enterterprises, the parent company of the Bonita Springs Poker Room. “We specifically selected local partners who were as committed to the area as we are and who believed in our vision to bring this state-of-the-art facility to life for the Southwest Florida community.”

Some of the Southwest Florida-based companies involved in the construction of the entertainment venture include WDG Architecture, PBS Contractors and Hole Montes, a Southwest Florida-based engineering, surveying and planning company.

“PBS Contractors couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of this historical project in the Southwest Florida community and to work alongside other local firms. We look forward to a prosperous future for both the Bonita Springs Poker Room and its patrons that have frequented the former Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track for decades,” said David Minton, project manager of PBS Contractors.

The venue is located at 28010 Race Track Road in Bonita Springs and operates from Sunday to Thursday
9:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 a.m.
